at first I would say there are 4 terminal bus in Tehran but south terminal and west terminal you should use during your trip
if you want go cities in south of Tehran same Kashan , Esfahan , Yazd , Shiraz , .....
you should go south terminal
if you want go cities north or west of Tehran same Qazvin , Rasht , Hamedan , Chalus , .....
you should go west( azadi ) terminal
both of them have metro station the name of the west terminal is Meydane_azadi in line 4 yellow line
the name of the south terminal is payaneh_jonob in line 1 red line.
