I live in Tehran , my university is in Qom to be honest I don't recommend Qom , but if you want go there 2 or 3 hours is enough.

if you want go qom the best way is go there by train because train station Qom is near holy shine (10 minute on walk distance)

the price of train Tehran to Qom is 4000 toman and it 2 hours does it long to arrive there 

there are 4 trains every day from tehran to qom

maybe the timetable has a little  different in each season so check them before your trip 

if you have time I recommend after see holt shine visit timche carpet it has 15 minute distance on walk from holy shine 

if you want go Kashan after Qom you should go 72 tan (72 تن)

there are some taxi near holy shine to 72 tan the price of taxi is 1500 toman for each person 

and the price of bus from Qom to Kashan for VIP bus is 8000 toman

and price of taxi is 10000 toman
